Depression Free Tip: Your Focus

Whenever you feel one of your moods coming, look for an opportunity to bless someone else in their time of need. Look for solutions instead of worrying. When we shift our focus on someone else’s problems, our cloud of gloom often diminishes. If taking on someone else’s problem is too much, think about simply volunteering with your hands. Get busy doing something that has a time limit and you can go home and leave it behind.

Changing your focus also means, focusing on what is going RIGHT in your life. As I mention in my book, when you begin daily writing down 3 things to be thankful for, you are refocusing your mind to look at the cup half full rather than half empty.

It’s been scientifically proven that renewing our minds and changing our thought patterns actually lifts us out of depression – even better than an anti-depressant. Begin today by changing your focus.

There is hope! You are worth it!
