“A person’s anxiety will weigh him down,
but an encouraging word makes him joyful.”
“A tranquil heart makes for a healthy body,
but jealously is like bone cancer.
A joyful heart makes a cheerful face,
but with heartache comes depression.”
These are some proverbs written thousands of years ago which still ring true today. A thankful heart is health. While some people count blessings more readily than others, there are many ways to practice gratitude—and experience its rewards.
